Let me just apologize now for the Soapbox Rant this might resemble. There's only so much BS a girl can take.
In perusing Pinterest (serious habit), I come across Pin after Pin after Pin that shows some fitness model/body builder/fitness bikini competitor perfect body in barely any clothes with a workout super imposed over her alluding that said workout will make you look like her.
Let's be honest here, people. If you want to look like a fitness model/body builder/fitness bikini competitor, there's VERY few workouts on Pinterest that will get you there. Looking like that is a full time job involving hours at the gym, a VERY restrictive diet, a nutritionist, trainer and other support folks. That one week of daily workouts? Sure, they're great workouts. But they will get you in 'regular folk' shape, assuming you also eat healthy foods.
Now let's consider the pic above. That's a HARD position to hold. And she's clothed, she's not shoving the twins up to create more cleavage, doesn't have a thong on. That's just a really strong, fit woman.
So, what do I promise you? I promise to never have a half naked chick in any of my posts, Pins, etc. I don't believe in objectifying women like that and I'd much rather show a woman sweating her butt off, grunting through a workout and WORKING for the way she looks and feels. I promise to be real with you. You have to work hard if you want significant changes to your body. It won't be easy but it will be worth it. I promise to help you as much as I can. But it does come down to YOU. YOU have to do the workout, YOU have to eat healthy, YOU have to stick to your program.
What does real fitness look like? This is a pic of a former client and good friend. She found a program that works for her and is in the best shape of her life. Just look at that face! That's real fitness - sweating, working hard, doing things that don't come easily, and feeling GREAT about all your hard work. She's loving where she is and has made life long habits. THAT is what real fitness looks like.
