Whole Life Health and Fitness is about more than just working out and eating healthy. It's about your WHOLE life.
This morning, I'm working on my personal and professional daily schedule. In my head, I'm super organized, get so much done each day, have time to be creative and fun with my son, be an awesome wife to my husband and take time each day for myself. Hey, folks....stop laughing. I did say that's in my head! In reality, I never get up as early as I want, I have half finished projects EVERYWHERE, my poor kid spends way too much time with his iPad, my husband becomes just one more thing I need to deal with and most days, I barely have time to shower. All that and at the end of the day, I've crossed ONE thing on the to-do list.
Where does the time go?
So my goal the rest of the month is to get a handle on my personal and professional life by being more organized and scheduled. It seems I need to be hyper-scheduled in order to stick to ANY sort of plan.
Having a plan helps me feel more in control and calm. Which; obviously, is good for my mental and emotional health. WHOLE life healthy, right?
Want to join me in this journey? Sitting down to make a plan takes time but is SO worth it. Let's start by outlining an ideal weekday.
6:30a - Rise and shine!
6:30a - 7a - 15 minutes of yoga
7a - 8:30a - Kiddo up, breakfast, get dressed for day. (multi-task blog during breakfast)
8:30a - 9:00a - Get Kiddo to school/Book and craft on non-school days
So this gives me time to workout, time to work on my blog, time to focus on Kiddo and take care of the house. And it has some flexibility for when things inevitably go south.
Our weekly schedule isn't this cut and dry. Each day is a little different and I try to reserve one day during the week to do something fun with Kiddo. Besides the blog and housework, the rest of my day could be accomplished around a fun activity.
What does your ideal day look like? Where do you see challenges in your days that could keep you from your ideal day? Take a few minutes to map out your days and you may find you have more time than you realize!
